Bhangra Beats Workshop on Sept. 27th

I will be holding a Bhangra Beats workshop on Sunday September 27th at Flashpoint: Coors Dance Studio (916 G St NW, Washington, DC 20001) from 1PM-3PM.  This class will focus more on learning some cool Pop-Bhangra moves, including a few new ones I’ve come up with recently.  So even if you’ve attended a previous Bhangra Beats workshop, you will be sure to learn something new.  Please send an e-mail to classes@bhangrabeats.org if you want to register for the workshop.  Space is limited so act fast!

“ …Bhangra Beats is much more intense. If initially the workout seem too much, you can lower the intensity or just do the default move and pick back up when you are rested. Just don’t give up. With time, as with me, you will build up some serious stamina!

Capital Fringe Festival in DC

An Improbable Meeting

Sorry for not updating in a few weeks. I’ve had to go to 4 different weddings in 4 different states the last 2 weekends. However, at the last Sangeet I attended, I ran into Rani from Mississippi (who won a copy of the Bhangra Beats DVD during my Jus Punjabi interview). Who would have thought?? Having only spoken to her over the phone , it was great meeting Rani and her 2 daughters in person, and I hope to continue to meet other Bhangra Beats fans from around the country and the world.
